NFT Trader Faces Massive Heist of 50+ High-Value NFTs

In a recent security breach, numerous high-value NFTs, including 37 Bored Ape Yacht Club and 13 Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFTs, were reportedly stolen from NFT Trader.

The attack on NFT Trader appears to have exploited vulnerabilities in outdated smart contracts. To secure their assets, users are strongly advised to eliminate delegation using the provided addresses: 0xc310e760778ecbca4c65b6c559874757a4c4ece0 and 0x13d8faF4A690f5AE52E2D2C52938d1167057B9af.

The unauthorized transfer, valued at 1,080 ETH (approximately $2.4 million), was executed by an unidentified hacker with the address 0x90…8fda. In response to the incident, NFT Trader recommends users promptly revoke platform authorization.

Although the thief has not taken additional actions at this time, the fate of the stolen NFTs remains uncertain. Investors are cautioned to exercise vigilance during this period of uncertainty.

It is noteworthy that the targeted NFTs were associated with the well-known Bored Ape Yacht Club project, emphasizing the ongoing appeal of established projects to malicious actors.

As the situation continues to evolve, investor vigilance is crucial, particularly considering the potential impact on the broader NFT market, which has experienced renewed interest amid recent cryptocurrency surges.
